Nick Peters Memorial Fund

This fund was set-up to establish an award in memory of Nick Peters. Nick was a student at VIU, first in the Heavy Duty Mechanics program, and later in the Accounting program. Nick's dream was to use the skills he learned at VIU to become a farmer. Nick overcame a number of obstacles in his life to experience considerable academic success, including the challenges of the Autism Spectrum. Nick took his own life in the summer of 2019. The scholarship will go to support students in the Accounting Program who have been identified by faculty as demonstrating resilience and drive both on and off campus.
