Only one campaign per form. Please complete every section of this form.

IMPORTANT: Keep it brief and to the point. Use short sentences and plain English. Remember, you only have about six seconds to capture a reader’s attention online.

Your Campaign

Maximum 10 words (ideal is no more than 5). Use active words. Focus on the main goal and impact.
Maximum 100 words. A few sentences that summarize your goal, why it’s important, and the impact you hope it will have.
Maximum 50 words. The purpose of the Vancouver Island University (VIU) Foundation is to raise money to support VIU’s scholarship and awards program and VIU fundraising activities. Briefly explain how your campaign fits within this mission.
Maximum 300 words. Clearly outline each goal and activity. OPTIONAL: Add a timeline and information that may help to sway a potential donor’s decision to give: supporting quotes, statistics, research, results of a previous project, etc.
Maximum 100 words. Describe the impact your initiative will have on the people and/or organizations involved, on VIU and on the community. Be specific. These might be the last words people read about your campaign, so make it stick (in a good way, not like burnt food at the bottom of a pan).

Budget

Maximum 50 words. Briefly describe how you will use the money you raise during this campaign.
